UNIT 7 / TRANSFORMATIONS

Grammar and Vocabulary:
- Learn verb list in Simple present, Simple past and Past Participle.
- Vocabulary words; learn meaning, spelling of new words using context clues skill & learning the antonym and synonym of each word.
- Use grammar structures- Simple past (broke) and Past Participle. (had broken)
- Weekly evaluation: mini quizzes, dictations. Verb list memorization.

* PASS-TICKET TO DO EXAM: Do flashcard for each verb of your list. Ask me!


Reading & Speaking:
Reading about making transformations of things, places and physical transformations on humans' bodies.
- Skills to learn and use: Sequence and paraphrasing.
- Learning and using a conversation pattern: "Getting to the Point"
- Weekly evaluations: oral reading fluency & pronounciation, speaking in English using the conversation pattern.

Creative Writing:
Use verbs in simple past and past participle when you write. (shifting verbs)
- Weekly evaluations: Writing process usage (brainstorm and steps for pre-writing).


* PASS-TICKET TO DO EXAM: Bring a small notebook to keep a daily journal. Write ideas, poems, thoughts, daily routines, etc. Ask me!

- Learn modals of possibility: may - may not, could- couln't.
- Vocabulary words; learn meaning, spelling of new words using context clues skill & learning the antonym and synonym of each word.
-Use grammar structures. practice verb tenses. use modals of possibility.
- Weekly evaluation: mini quizzes, dictations. Verb list memorization.

Reading & Speaking:
Reading about natural science. Contact with animals / water & land. Relations between animal-humans.
- Skills to learn and use: summarizing
- Learning and using a conversation pattern: "Communicating feelings"
- Weekly evaluations: oral reading fluency & pronounciation, speaking in English using the conversation pattern.

- Creative Writing: Learn ways to make better summaries
- Weekly evaluations: Writing process usage (brainstorm and steps for pre-writing).

REQUISITO PARA EXAMEN:

· Presentarte a tu examen con lápiz # 2, borrador, sacapuntas y pluma azul o negra.

· Tener el 80 % de asistencias durante el bimestre.

· Así como todas tus participaciones entregadas en su cuaderno completas.

· Notas importantes:

Durante la semana de repaso, estaremos trabajando con los conocimientos que en cada parcial estudiamos.

Contestar y copiar en sus cuadernos los exámenes parciales, al tener los cuatro, obtendrán el 40% de la calificación final, el 10% es actitud y asistencia, y por último el 50% será su examen final.

Es requisito de examen tener su cuaderno completo con los 3 parciales, así como un comentario de sus padres.
